Operation Coastline launched to help keep residents and visitors safe
Humberside Police has launched Operation Coastline as the force heads into one of its busiest times of the year.
Throughout the summer, police officers and partners will be working across the coastal communities, including Bridlington, to help keep residents, businesses and visitors safe.

Coastal areas see an increase in visitors at this time of the year, which can sometimes lead to an increase in issues such as anti-social behaviour and opportunistic crimes.
Operation Coastline is designed to prevent incidents before they happen and respond quickly where needed, helping people feel safe while enjoying everything the region has to offer.
Throughout the operation people can expect to see officers engaging with communities, supporting local businesses are working with young people to promote positive behaviour.
A police spokesperson said: “Alongside high-visibility patrols, we'll be carrying out targeted policing activity to tackle shoplifting, road crime and the anti-social use of motorcycles, disrupt organised crime groups, and address violence against women and girls, particularly in and around the night-time economy.
“By combining visible policing with community engagement and intelligence-led operations, we'll be focused on preventing crime and anti-social behaviour while helping our coastal communities remain welcoming places to live, work and visit.
