The Little Footsteps Nursery on Columbus Ravine has had its minibus repeatedly vandalised and has been damaged on five previous occasions.

Police in Scarborough are appealing for witnesses and information about multiple incidents of criminal damage, which include the minibus having its tyres slashed.

The incidents have happened overnight between November 6, 2020 and January 20, 2021.

The minibus has been repeatedly vandalised.

A police spokesperson said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incidents. In particular, we are appealing for information about any males acting suspiciously outside the nursery during this time."

Damage to the tyres that goes unnoticed poses an extreme risk to those onboard as well as other road users.

The minibus is used for the social and educational needs of the children who attend the nursery, their learning is hugely disadvantaged and they miss out on trips when the minibus is out of use.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information.
