Three men to appear in court in Scarborough after drink-driving crackdown
Three men will appear at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on August 17 after being charged with drink-driving related offences.
A 44-year-old Scarborough man has been charged for failing to provide a specimen of breath after being arrested on suspicion of being over the prescribed limit of alcohol when driving.

A 29-year-old man from Scarborough was charged with being over the prescribed limit of alcohol, blowing 59µg/L when the legal limit is 35µg/L. He was also charged with driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
A 37-year-old Scunthorpe man was charged for failing to provide a specimen of breath, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
Sergeant Robert Wardle of Scarborough’s Response Team said: “We want people to go out and enjoy themselves but plan your night.
“If you are going to drink, arrange a lift or book a taxi.
“Avoid taking the car into town, to prevent the temptation to drive home later.
“Even if you think you will be below the limit, alcohol reduces your reaction times.”
