VIY to work with volunteers and pupils to create new classroom / workspace in Scarborough event
VIY (Volunteer It Yourself) will be working with volunteers and pupils from Futureworks to create a new classroom / workspace within their existing building in a session coming up in Scarborough.
They will be using retrofitting skills to improve the EPC rating, add cladding and alleviating damp at the event at Futureworks NY on Victoria Road, on Wednesday July 22.
You can learn about retrofit and green skills while seeing local young people in action as they gain construction and green skills, while delivering energy-efficient upgrades.
The team from VIY – a Community Interest Company that combines DIY and volunteering - will be supporting and delivering the programme with learners sharing their experiences on the project.
The event is on from 10.30am to 2pm.
