Flamborough RNLI rescues kayaker after kayak begins sinking off Yorkshire coast
Flamborough RNLI was requested to launch by HM Coastguard following reports of a kayaker in difficulty after their kayak began taking on water and sinking.
The lifeboat launched at 18:25pm on July 4 and made best speed to the scene.

On arrival, the volunteer crew located the casualty, recovered both the kayaker and the kayak, and safely landed them at North Landing before returning to station.
The lifeboat and volunteer crew returned to South Landing at 19:24pm.
Following recovery, the lifeboat and launching tractor was cleaned, refuelled and made ready for service by the volunteer lifeboat and shore crew, ensuring operational readiness for the next callout.
This was the second shout in two days for Forever Yibba (B-959), with the volunteer crew once again responding swiftly in support of HM Coastguard.
