Overgrown Aislaby footpath is restored to former glory

Aislaby Parish Council recently kick-started some vital renovation work on the Featherbed Lane footpath.

The footpath was overgrown with vegetation and brambles making it virtually impassable to walkers, both visitors and residents.

The area has now been cleared with the help of the Community Payback Team.

An Aislaby Parish Council spokesman said: “We would like to extend its thanks and appreciation to the Community Payback Team for is hard work in restoring the Featherbed Lane footpath/bridleway from its junction with the A169 road out of Sleights to Toft Corner in Aislaby.”
