Letter: Why should wildlife suffer?

I am a keen conservationist and set my times to see all of the TV wildlife programmes.

Why should it be that the wildlife have to suffer in this way?

Most food taken from supermarkets today are placed in two or three plastic bags. Why?

Not all that long ago paper bags, cardboard or just plain paper was used - not a problem.

There was never a thought given to the end product. The manufacturers of plastic take a big profit from plastic, therefore they must have the technology to get rid of it, not leave it to the tax payer.

King George VI said years ago: “The wildlife of today is not ours to dispose of as we wish. It is left in trust with us for those who come after.”
