Family friendly launch event planned for Scalby Walk
A family-friendly launch event for the 65th Scalby Walk will take place at The Plough at the end of this month.
The walk will take place on Easter Monday, April 6 from 10am.
It will raise money for Futureworks NY, Newby and Scalby Library and Scarborough Mates.
The six-mile walk starts and finishes at The Plough, and includes drinking half a pint in the four pubs on its route, The Three Jolly Sailors, The Red Lion, The Blacksmiths Arms and The Oak Wheel.
An entry fee of £15 for adults and £5 for under 18s which includes half a pint of bitter, lager, squash or water at each of the pubs en route.
Fancy dress is a big party of the walk and there are lots of prizes to be won on the day.
A free launch party will take place at The Plough on Saturday, February 28 from 2.30-4pm with lots of family-friendly activities including puzzles, quizzes and biscuit art.
