Farewell to brave Scarborough girl Thalia-Beau Wright with celebration of her life


The farewell to the brave five-year-old, who died while awaiting a heart and lung transplant, will be held at St Mary's Church at 1pm on Monday.
On their way there, her family plan to stop at their beach chalet on Scarborough's North Bay and are inviting people to turn out, following social distancing guidelines.

Hide AdWith places in the church limited because of coronavirus restrictions, people are also being invited to the church grounds where audio of the service will be broadcast.
They are being asked to honour Thalia by wearing her favourite colour - baby blue.
Cash donations on the day will be given to Martin House Hospice, where Thalia was cared for during her last days.

Hide AdAn online fundraiser has also been set up for the charity in Thalia's memory and has already surpassed its £500 target - you can visit it HERE.
Donations are still flooding in for a fund set up by friends of Thalia's family to pay for her farewell next week.
The fund raiser, set up only a week ago, has collected a staggering £11,778.
As reported by The Scarborough News, Thalia passed away on Monday of last week.

Thalia's family campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness of the need for organ and heart donations and the little girl captured the hearts of people across Scarborough and beyond.
Last year residents and businesses clubbed together to raise nearly £7,000 to send courageous Thalia on the trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris.
