Dalby Forest-based astronomy business, Astro Dog, have shared an incredible time-lapse of the Aurora Borealis lighting up the North York Moors.

The video was taken on the night of August 12, when the Northern Lights were seen all along the Yorkshire coast and beyond. The stunning clear skies above the North York Moors were a perfect place to see the Northern Lights in all their vibrant glory. Started in 2015, Astro Dog offers a range of educational astronomy experiences and services. They also run public stargazing experiences under the beautifully dark skies of the North York Moors National Park, as well as being dedicated aurora hunters and astrophotographers.
