The group formed in 2017, offering an “open to all” craft group to encourage social contact, and make items of their own choice, to donate to local charitable requests.

Speaking on behalf of the group Jackie Gray said: “I didn’t believe it when Proudfoot contacted me to give us the news that we had won. I couldn’t wait to tell the team!”

Proudfoot Director Valerie Aston said: “We were so pleased that this donation will help the group to buy more materials to continue their amazing support of those in need, both here, in our local hospitals, and abroad, through the yearly shoebox appeal.”
