Robin Hood's Bay Folk Weekend raises £1,800 for RNLI

The singers, dancers, musicians and drummers who made Robin Hood's Bay Folk Weekend such an enjoyable time raised £1,800 for the RNLI.

RNLI Branch Chairman Jim Foster said: “A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making the weekend such a success.

"There was music around every corner and visitors, locals and staff joined in the fun at most of the pubs and cafes.

"The evening concerts were well supported, but you had to feel sorry for the double bass player, and the harpist, who had to lug their heavy instruments up Bay Bank at the end of the day.

"The atmosphere was brilliant and the weather Gods were kind."
