'Santa's little helpers' help Scarborough Rotary Club prepare for the festive season
Santa is almost ready to begin his Christmas meet and greet in Scarborough town centre, thanks to help from an unusual source.
"Santa's little helpers" at Futureworks North Yorkshire have been busy preparing for Scarborough Rotary Club's annual charity collection by decorating the Christmas display and presents for Santa's sleigh, ready for December.
The traditional Santa display at the top of Westborough is kindly supplied by Boyes.
The design and decoration of the display has been undertaken by Futureworks NY staff, clients and volunteers at their premises on Victoria Road.
Futureworks North Yorkshire is a small local charity making a big impact for our community, and which the Rotary Club is keen to support.
The annual Scarborough Rotary Club Santa collection began in 1950 and since that time has raised many thousands of pounds, thanks to the generosity of the local community.
Santa will be collecting from Tuesday December 15 at his usual spot, near Alma Square.
