Scarborough 14 year old DJs at renowned Cafe del Mar in Ibiza
A Scarborough teenager has spoken of his delight at being invited to DJ at the world-famous Cafe del Mar in Ibiza.
Scalby School student Alfie Tout became the talk of the Ibiza recently, after travelling to the island to DJ in some of the Mediterranean escape’s most iconic locations.

Alfie landed a coveted DJ spot to perform at Itaca Ibiza Terrace and Word of Mouth after beating off competition from thousands of others in a competition run by popular UK-based house and nu-disco event organizer "Funk My Life" (FML).
Proud mum Tina Tout said: “It couldn’t have gone any better, he really wasn’t expecting the opportunity to perform at Cafe del Mar.”

Alfie said: “It was surreal! Just too good!
“A man called Karl Parrish saw me DJing. The next day, at a boat party, he said that he wanted to give me half of his slot at Cafe del Mar.”
Alfie described the experience as “crazy” and “just like he expected”.
FML have now invited Alfie to return later in the season to play at other venues.

Tina praised the help of Karl Parrish, she said: “He gave Alfie the opportunity to DJ from seeing him just once, and it’s opened even more doors for him.
“Karl said to us: “It’s nice to be nice”! When he was 16 a guy had given him a similar opportunity – and he actually messaged him while we were there to say he had repaid the favour.
“Alfie was getting recognised around the island, people were coming up to him and saying ‘aren’t you the 14-year-old who was playing at Cafe del Mar? – people are talking about you on the island.’”
Alfie, a well-known name on the Scarborough club scene, regularly appears at venues around the town as one half of father and son DJ duo Dishedout.
Scarborough residents can check out Alfie’s talents for themselves at his upcoming gigs, including at Secret Subrosa on Saturday, August 15 and Snowy’s Bar on Saturday, August 29.
