This is Omar Alam. He is a registrar at Scarborough Hospital. Omar lights up the room with his positivity, even before this horrid situation we find ourselves in he always found the positive side and made everyone smile. He spurs everyone on and staff and patients love him. He is a credit to his family and the NHS and deserves recognition.
Id like to nominate my amazing sister Fiona Colling. She is working as a healthcare assistant in the community. She has two young daughters and is doing an amazing job.
Id like to nominate Kate Harrison. She was due to go travelling with her partner to Australia but their plans were cancelled. Instead she continues to work her job on the front line as a nurse at Scarborough Hospital. She cant see her family and carries on working 13 hour shifts to care for others.
