Scarborough's Rainbow Ball organisers thrilled as event makes £19,000
Organisers of The Rainbow Ball in Scarborough are delighted to announce that this year’s event raised an “amazing” £19,250 – and they want to thanks the “incredible” support of everyone who helped.
Fundraising Officer at The Rainbow Centre, James Howard, said: “This is a phenomenal amount, and every penny will go a long way in helping us continue the work we do within our community, supporting those who need it most.

“To everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, volunteered, or supported us in any way, thank you.
"Your generosity and kindness makes a real difference, and together we're helping to change lives.”
Nearly 200 people supported The Rainbow Ball by purchasing tickets making it a sell out on the night.
Organisers thank Scarborough Spa for hosting the ball, Paddy Billington, radio presenter, DJ, host and Nicky Priestley for all of their hard work as comperes, John at Wandering Photography for capturing the memories, and Funky Tuesday Choir.
The night was signed off for the second year by The Huge Party Band.
The list of businesses that helped make this happen is incredibly long, but a big thank you must go to First Locate who not only are in The Rainbow 100 Club, but also sponsored The Rainbow Ball.
Mr Howard added: “The Rainbow Ball is such a huge event in our calendar and a lot of time and effort goes into making the night such a fantastic success.
"It is incredibly encouraging to be supported by so many businesses and individuals within our community who continue to step up for The Rainbow Centre and the Scarborough community as a whole.
"Thank you to you all.
"We really appreciate it.”
