Scarborough’s Rainbow Centre to host Grown-Ups Daytime Disco
The Rainbow Centre has announced a brand-new fundraising event that promises to bring music, dancing and plenty of fun to Scarborough this August.
The charity will be hosting a Grown-Ups Daytime Disco at The Crescent Lounge, featuring a fantastic mix of music to suit all tastes, with DJs playing everything from Disco and 80s classics to Funk, Soul and House.

Whether you're looking to dance the afternoon away, catch up with friends, enjoy some great music or simply soak up the atmosphere, everyone is invited to come along and support The Rainbow Centre.
The Crescent Lounge has recently become a member of The Rainbow 100 Club, The Rainbow Centre's new business initiative which brings local businesses together to provide regular monthly support towards the charity's running costs. The team at The Crescent Lounge have continued to demonstrate their commitment to supporting the charity, and this latest event is another fantastic example of that partnership.
The event will take place on Saturday August 29 from 2-9pm.
Fundraising Officer James Howard said: “We are incredibly grateful to Sadie and her staff for letting us hold this event at The Crescent Lounge. It promises to be an awesome afternoon and evening, and we invite everyone to come along, enjoy the music and have a little dance.
“The Crescent Lounge has already shown their support for The Rainbow Centre by becoming members of our Rainbow 100 Club, and to now be working with them on an event like this is fantastic.
“It is going to be a brilliant day, but importantly, while everyone is having fun, we will also be raising vital funds and awareness for The Rainbow Centre and the work we do supporting people within our community.
“So dust off those dancing shoes, bring your friends and come and join us. We can't wait to see you on the dance floor!”
The Rainbow Centre is hoping the event will bring people together for a memorable day while raising much-needed funds to help continue its vital work supporting vulnerable people across Scarborough.
With great music, great company and a fantastic cause at the heart of the event, organisers are encouraging people to come along, bring their friends and dance for The Rainbow Centre.
