Whitby Swing Bridge closure to vehicles set to remain in place
The closure of Whitby Swing Bridge to vehicles is to remain in place into next week.
According to an update from North Yorkshire Council, work is currently expected to be complete by Friday July 17.
The bridge will also be closed to pedestrians from 6pm on Monday July 13 until 2am on Tuesday July 14.
The council says this is to allow work to be carried out which requires the bridge to be opened for river traffic.
A shuttle bus will operate on Monday from 6pm until midnight.
