The Coastguard helicopter was called to an injured walker.

Coastguards helped an injured walker on the Cleveland Way, just north of Hayburn Wyke.

The injured person was carried to a waiting ambulance with the help of Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team.

Later, rescue teams were called to a broken down vessel being towed into Scarborough Harbour. Coastguards met the vessel to check all was well.

The same day, Scarborough, Filey, and Bridlington Coastguard teams were called to another injured walker on the Cleveland Way, this time at the north end of Cayton Bay.

Due to the nature of the terrain and injuries to the walker the coastguard helicopter was called.

The helicopter carried the injured walker over rough ground to an area where it could land and the patient was transferred to an ambulance.

Alongside Scarborough RNLI, coastguards were called to reports of a dinghy in difficult in Scarborough's South Bay.
