Cooper is making his return from an injury that has sidelined him for 18 months and BetVictor Northern North West Division side Pickering are hoping this deal will enable the midfielder to get back to full fitness with more minutes on the pitch.

Agnew said: "Pickering boss Denny Ingram contacted me and asked if we could take Ryan on dual forms and help him get some game time here as he continues his comeback from a long time out through injury.

"Ryan will add more strength to the midfield, and he will come straight into the squad for Tuesday's home League Cup tie against Silsden, as will forward Mark Hutchinson after his return to the club after a spell in America.

"Ryan is very experienced at this level and before his injury had scored plenty of goals from midfield. A lot of the lads at Brid who used to play for Pickering know him well so he should settle in just fine."

Ingram said: "After being out for 18 months Ryan needs game time. Unfortunately at this moment I can't give him it. I contacted Brett and he'll go on dual registration. "He'll still train with us and be a part of what we are. It is pure and simply to get some minutes on a pitch."

Cooper played in the Scarborough Saturday and Sunday Leagues for teams such as Snainton and Newlands before joining the Pikes, also managing the latter club in the Sunday League alongside Ben Luntley.
