Filey Town battle back to win five-goal Premiership thriller at Seamer Sports
Filey Town battled back from 2-0 down at rivals Seamer Sports to earn a 3-2 home victory in the Right Car East Riding County League Premiership on Tuesday night.
The home side roared into a 2-0 half-time lead thanks to a Jake Gallagher effort and an own goal.

But great decisions from the coaches and a strong response from the team saw Filey turn the game around.
Tyler Beck reduced the deficit and a brilliant two goals from Joe Gage helped complete the comeback and secure all three points and move Town to the top of the league table.

Filey had secured a superb 2-0 win at North Ferriby Development the previous Saturday, August 22.
Kyle Melly and Max Gage were on target for Filey, whose men of the match were Liam Cassidy and Ellis Howley
Filey were brought back down to earth with a bang on Saturday as they lost 2-0 at Haltemprice, the hosts’ third win in as many league games this season.
A Humber Premier League game of fine margins saw Edgehill come away from South Cave empty-handed after a tight and competitive encounter ended in a 2-1 win for the hosts.
The first half was closely contested, with the home side creating two very good opportunities to take the lead, but on both occasions they found Kian Hide in the way, with the Edgehill keeper making two excellent saves.
Edgehill thought they had taken the lead when Robbie Scarborough found the net, only for the goal to be ruled out for a shove.
South Cave were also fortunate to still have 11 men on the pitch following a strong challenge on Ryan Link, the referee deeming the tackle worthy of only a yellow card.
The second half saw Edgehill finally get the breakthrough on 49 minutes. Scarborough made no mistake this time, finding the bottom corner from just inside the box to put Edgehill 1-0 ahead.
South Cave then won a dubious corner, which was delivered to the back post and headed home to bring the scores level.
Just 10 minutes later, the home side completed the comeback, breaking quickly on the counter-attack before slotting past Hide to make it 2-1.
Edgehill battled right until the final whistle but couldn’t find a way back into the game, leaving the lads disappointed after another match decided by fine margins.
The Edgehill man of the match was Joe Gallagher, who was outstanding throughout, showing tremendous drive, determination and work rate from start to finish.
