Scarborough Athletic earn 3-1 victory at Pickering Town
Following a goalless first half, Boro turned on the style after the break to seal a 3-1 win at Pickering Town, watched by a bumper crowd on a glorious evening at Mill Lane.
Boss Jono Greening brought in a trialist striker, with the four trialists from the Tadcaster game again in action, while Kieran Weledji and Michael Duckworth had their first run-outs of pre-season.

Boro dominated possession throughout, but Pikes defended well and also created chances on the break.
Mo Fadera flashed a shot wide, then cut in from the left and fired over, and Dom Tear raced onto a through-ball from the trialist right-back, but keeper Luke Jackson ran out to kick clear.

A Fadera snap-shot was blocked by Riley McGinty, then in their first attack, Pikes were unlucky when a Souleymane Coulibaly shot crashed off the underside of the bar.
Pikes again went close when a fierce shot from Mani forced a good diving save from the trialist Boro keeper, then at the other end Fadera teed up Luca Colville who also blasted against the bar.
Boro’s big trialist striker lobbed a shot over, the impressive McGinty intercepted a Tear ball towards Fadera in the box, and Colville laid off to Lewis Maloney, whose shot was blocked by Ben Leyland. Another Maloney strike drifted wide, then Fadera fed Maloney, whose fierce strike was tipped onto the bar by keeper Jackson, and Fadera shot wide just before the interval.
After numerous substitutions at the break, Boro broke the deadlock within two minutes of the restart, as the lively Harry Green squared for Luke Hall to slot home.

Four minutes later the lead was doubled, when Rio Allan ran onto a through-ball from the trialist right-back, and slammed his shot past the keeper.
The trialist right-back then lobbed over from distance, and a Colville shot was parried by the keeper, with Allan slicing the rebound wide.
Pikes reduced the arrears when the ref spotted a foul and Coulibaly fired home from the penalty spot.
Boro quickly restored their two-goal lead, when the outstanding trialist right-back sent a low ball into the area, and Green tapped in at the back post.

Green jinked past two defenders and teed up Allan who fired over and another Allan strike was blocked by Jamie Thornton.
On 78 minutes Boro were awarded a spot-kick after a foul on Green, but Allan shot wide of the right hand post.
Trialist C then had a shot saved by the substitute keeper, and late on, Weledji blocked an effort from Pikes winger Mani.
