The previous weekend Sirens faced Howden away, a tough physical game, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

On Sunday the ladies travelled the short distance to Driffield.

Conditions weren’t great and it was freezing, but moral stayed high, and every single player did what was asked of them without question.

The full 90 minutes they all put an absolute shift in and that showed with the score. There was some great team and individual performances Sunday, resulting in some great goals.

The ladies started strong and battled for every ball and were lucky to go 2-0 up within five minutes of kick-off.

Chloe Bennett broke the deadlock in the opening moments, quickly followed by Wilson netting.

Driffield made a comeback and got a well-worked goal back before half-time.

After the break, with one change made to the 11 the Sirens quickly netted again with Daisy Stokoe slotting round the keeper, followed by two more Wilson goals, getting herself a hat-trick for the day.

Meg Parker then slotted in a final goal to round up the amazing Sirens display.

Player of the match for Sirens was Lucy Butterfield.

Although she wasn’t sure about playing on the wing, she put in a very confident and excellent performance.

She played some lovely balls in, two assists, ran at players, tracked back when needed and almost bagged herself an absolute worldie.
