Chance to ‘take a seat’ and support Bridlington Spa campaign
Bridlington Spa is offering people the chance to make their mark at the venue with a ‘seat of their own’.
The seafront venue is inviting theatre lovers and local businesses to become a lasting part of its history with the launch of its new Name a Seat campaign.
For just £200, individuals can dedicate a seat in the historic Edwardian theatre for five years, or choose a two year dedication for £100, creating a lasting and heartfelt way to celebrate a special occasion, remember someone important, or simply express a love of live theatre.
Whether it’s a gift for a lifelong theatre fan, a Christmas present, a tribute to a loved one, a celebration of a birthday or anniversary, or simply a way to say “I love this place”, each named seat will become a small but meaningful part of the Spa’s story.
The campaign also offers local businesses and organisations the opportunity to get involved by sponsoring a seat. It’s a unique way for businesses to show their support for one of the town’s most iconic venues, demonstrate their commitment to the local community and become part of Bridlington Spa’s continuing story.
Funds raised through the Name a Seat campaign will contribute towards the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of the venue’s historic Edwardian theatre, while also helping the venue to invest in new equipment and improvements for audiences to enjoy.
General manager Mark Lonsdale said: “Bridlington Spa has been at the heart of entertainment and memories in our town for generations, and we wanted to create an opportunity for our audiences to leave their own little mark on this very special building.
“Whether it’s a two year dedication or a five year commitment, naming a seat is a wonderful way to celebrate someone, remember someone special or simply show your love for live theatre.
“We’d also love to see local businesses get behind the campaign. Sponsoring a seat is a great way to support a much loved local venue, demonstrate pride in the town and play a part in helping us preserve this beautiful building for future generations.”
