Yorkshire Building Society branch starts appeal for The Homeless Ministry
Colleagues at Yorkshire Building Society’s Bridlington branch have launched a collection for The Homeless Ministry, which supports local people who are experiencing homelessness.
The team is inviting colleagues, members and local people to donate water bottles, rucksacks, sleeping bags, and thermal clothes or thick trousers and jumpers to support people in the local community.

All items collected at the branch, located on Prospect Street, will be passed on to The Homeless Ministry for distribution to those in need before the cold winter months roll in.
James Smith, customer consultant at the Bridlington branch, said: “We’re proud to support The Homeless Ministry and the vital work they do for people in the Bridlington community Our hope is that this collection makes a real difference to local individuals and families who need a helping hand.
“We welcome donations of any size. Every item will help someone in our community.”
Lynne Mitchell from The Homeless Ministry said: “These donations will make a meaningful impact and help us continue providing essential support across our community.”
The collection runs until Wednesday, September 30. Donations can be dropped off during branch opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9am to 4.30pm, and Wednesday 9.30am to 4.30pm.
