Brid groups have chance to land Pride in Place festive grants

Community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations are being invited to apply for grants to support festive activities across Bridlington West during the 2026/27 season.

The new Bridlington West Pride in Place Festive Grant programme offers awards of between £500 and £2,500 to help bring local people together. Eligible projects include Christmas fairs, markets, lights switch-on events, family activities, arts and cultural programmes, community meals, festive workshops and reusable decorations. Funding can also support intergenerational projects, volunteer-led initiatives helping vulnerable households and activities aimed at reducing social isolation. Priority will be given to projects demonstrating strong community benefits, promoting inclusion and accessibility, encouraging volunteering and bringing together people of different ages and backgrounds. Applications close on Wednesday, November 25, or earlier if all available funding is allocated. Successful projects must be completed, with all expenditure paid, by January 31, 2027. Applications must be submitted through East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Flexi-Grant system. Organisations are encouraged to discuss proposals with the council’s Local Growth Team before applying.
