Much-loved Bridlington Armed Forces Day takes place this Saturday
The much-loved and well-attended Bridlington Armed Forces Day will take place this weekend.
The event will take place on Saturday (July 4) with visitors descending on Bridlington town centre to show their appreciation to veterans and members of the Armed Forces.

A parade will step off at noon from the War Memorial Gardens, before making its way through town and finishing next to the Bridlington Lifeboat station.
Saluting Dias, including the Lord Lieutenant, will be at the Yacht Club, opposite the Spa, to acknowledge the numerous veterans, serving personnel, cadets, Scouts, Guides and other organisations taking part in the march.

Ex-military vehicles will be taking part in the parade, as well as being on display near the RNLI Lifeboat Station on the The Spa Promenade.
Following the successful theme of previous Armed Forces Day events, Bridlington Armed Forces Day 2026 will be a fun community event, enabling both townsfolk and visitors to celebrate the contribution and Service of the Armed Forces Community.
A spokesperson for the event said: “There will be a flypast subject to weather and aircraft serviceability at 2pm.
“Sadly the Gurkhas, who had agreed to march this year, are hosting a display at Leconfield and will be unable to attend Bridlington this year.
“There will be the usual ex military stalls and displays, plus, for the first time in years, a drill competition between the cadets and veterans.
“All standards, veterans and cadets are most welcome to take part in the parade. Please meet at the War Memorial at 11.45am on Saturday, July 4.
“We would like to thank the RNLI letting us use their land, everyone who takes part, and everybody who comes along to support the Armed Forces.
“Without their support none of this would happen.”
