Nicki expressed her gratitude and excitement after receiving the award, saying: “It was an honour and a privilege to win this award.

"I was really surprised, quite shocked, but it is such a nice recognition to receive.”

Nicki’s ability to see the bigger picture while balancing the practical demands of social care makes her a valued leader and a deserving recipient of this award.

Nicki’s influence can be felt across Moorview Care; she leads a group of supported people known as Moorview Matters.

Along with Moorview Care’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Dignity Champions, the group attended and walked in the Scarborough Pride parade.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to show our support and dedication to equality, diversity and inclusion,

and to stand alongside those working to create a more inclusive society. During the celebrations, Alison Hume,

MP for Scarborough and Whitby, found the Moorview Care team and stopped to ask for a group photograph!

Sam Cotty, Moorview Care’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion, coordinated the place in the parade and helped make the day such a memorable occasion.

Sam said: “It was wonderful to speak with both the event organisers and our team, who were equally enthusiastic about us being involved.

"The excitement from everyone was truly heartwarming, and it was lovely to spend such a happy day with everyone.”
