Bainton man and woman named as victims of fatal horror crash on A164 near Driffield
Police have released the names of the man and woman who died following a fatal road traffic collision on the A164 Beverley Road at Sunderlandwick between Driffield and Hutton Cranswick at about 1.10pm hours on Wednesday 6 August 2014.
They were 66-year-old Walter Stevenson and 68-year-old Elizabeth Mallaby, both from Bainton.
They died after their silver Nissan Micra collided with a red Chevrolet Kalos and a white Nissan Qashqia travelling in the opposite direction.
They both died at the scene.
The 65-year-old man driving the Nissan Qashqia and his 67-yera-old woman passenger both sustained serious but not life threatening injuries and are receiving treatment at Hull Royal Infirmary.

The 69-year-old woman driving the red Chevrolet Kalos was not injured in the collision.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is urged to call Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 286 of the Wednesday 06 August 2014.
