AN EVENING OF COSMIC EXPLORATION

Enjoy a guided tour of the night sky, learn how to find your way around the stars, and take a closer look through our range of professional large aperture telescopes.

Depending on what’s visible on the night, you can explore celestial treats such as the ringed planet Saturn, stunning star clusters, nebulae, and Andromeda Galaxy, our nearest galactic neighbour.

If clouds obscure the view, continue the cosmic adventures with a 360° journey to the edge of the universe in Astro Dog’s immersive planetarium dome.

DARK SKIES, SEA VIEWS – AND EVEN THE NORTHERN LIGHTS!

Known for its seabirds, Bempton's panoramic, clear, dark views across the Yorkshire Coast make it an ideal spot to immerse yourself in the night sky, gaze at the heavens and a fantastic location to observe the Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis.

When the Aurora is active, Bempton offers front row seats for nature's most spectacular light show.

With its open views across the North Sea, people have been able to witness the Northern Lights during several of our events at Bempton.
