Op Coastline focuses on keeping coastal towns and resorts welcoming, reducing crime and anti social behaviour, and providing visible reassurance to local communities during the busier summer months.
Coastal areas naturally see an increase in visitors at this time of the year which can sometimes lead to an increase in issues such as antisocial behaviour and opportunistic crimes.
Operation Coastline is designed to prevent incidents before they happen and respond quickly where needed, helping people feel safe while enjoying everything the region has to offer.
Anyone with any information, questions, or concerns about crime in their area are always encouraged to speak to officers in person. People can also report crim via the force’s virtual assistant AI Bobbi, report it online, or via the non-emergency number 101.
Always call 999 in an emergency or if a crime is ongoing.
