Man to appear at Scarborough Magistrates' Court on drink-drive charge
A Scarborough man is due to appear in court on a drink-driving charge after a breath test showed up as almost double the legal limit.
The 37-year-old was arrested in the early hours of Sunday October 18 for blowing over the prescribed limit of alcohol after police were alerted.
They stopped the man and breathalysed him.
Police say that he failed the roadside test, was arrested and provided an evidential specimen of 67 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35mcg.
The man is due to appear at Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on Monday November 2.
