Letter: Road safety outside store: reveal audit

Prior to the works outside the B & M store on Seamer Road being carried out, a road safety audit should have been done by the highway authority.

It would be very interesting to see the report as this would have clearly highlighted possible road conflicts between vehicles travelling in opposite directions at this location.

A road safety audit should be carried out when the character of an existing public highway is altered, such as outside B & M.

The council realised there was a pending accident issue by installing the emergency cones.

In my opinion, either there was no road safety audit or the road safety audit failed to consider possible conflict between vehicles outside B & M.
