Bridlington and the surrounding area will join with the millions of people across the UK and beyond who are preparing to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, on Saturday, May 6.
The day of ceremony and pageantry, on what is a bank holiday weekend, will see the King become the 40th reigning monarch to be crowned at Westminster Abbey. His wife Camilla will be crowned as Queen Camilla.

5. Monday May 8
On Monday May 8, head to the Emmanuel Church between 2pm and 4pm, gates open at 1pm, for their community street party. Special guests include Paramedic Polly and Pilot Percy from The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Stormy Stan from RNLI Bridlington Lifeboats, and all donations on the day will be split equally between the two charities.

On Monday May 8, Yorkshire Coast Community Rail Partnership will be having their Coronation Celebration event at Bridlington station between 10am and 12pm. There will be refreshments and the Driffield Ukulele band will be performing songs that they have written about the Hull to Scarborough line. Everyone welcome to come along. Photo: Paul Atkinson
