Little Pink Tractor owner raises over £25,000 for Breast Cancer Now

Jody Marton was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2024. Now aged 39, she has refurbished and painted a tractor pink, creating her very own Little Pink Tractor to help raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer research charity.

The Little Pink Tractor will lead a special Breast Cancer Charity Tractor Run on Sunday, September 13, 2026, starting at 9.30am from High Grundon Farm, Thornton-le-Dale.

The route will take the tractors through Thornton-le-Dale, Wilton, Allerston and Ebberston before heading on to the open road. There will be a lunch break at Goathland Community Hub from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, with the tractors expected to reach Newton at around 3pm, Pickering at 3.15pm and Thornton-le-Dale at approximately 3.30pm.

Jody said the idea was inspired by her own experience of breast cancer and her determination to turn a difficult situation into something positive.

The event is open to tractors, with entry costing £20. Members of the public are also welcome to come along and support the event.

I Love Lucy’s catering van will be serving breakfast from 8am at High Grundon Farm, while lunch will be available at Goathland Community Hub from noon.

The tractor run is sponsored by Yorkshire Tyre Specialist.

Jody hopes the sight of a bright pink tractor travelling through the local countryside will not only raise money, but also help raise awareness of breast cancer and the importance of research.
