SCARBOROUGH ACTS OF REMEMBRANCE 2026: Remembrance Sunday Service to be held at Oliver's Mount
Scarborough residents are invited to gather at the Oliver's Mount memorial for a Remembrance Sunday service taking place on Sunday, November 8.
Organised by the Scarborough Branch of the Royal British Legion, members of the local community are asked to assemble at the site by 10.35am, with the full commemorative gathering set to conclude at approximately 11.05am.
The traditional ceremony will feature formal Acts of Remembrance, prayers, the presentation of standards, and the laying of wreaths in honour of all fallen military personnel.
Attendees will join together to observe the national two minutes' silence, accompanied by traditional ceremonial tributes including the sounding of the Last Post, Reveille, and the readings of both the Exhortation and the Kohima Epitaph.
The solemn event will aim to provide a meaningful opportunity for the town to reflect and pay tribute to those who have served the country.
All members of the public are welcome to attend.
