Scarborough artist Paul creates stunning hand-drawn calendar celebrating The Rainbow Centre's 30th anniversary
The Rainbow Centre is celebrating the artistic talents of one of its clients, Paul, whose wonderful collection of hand-drawn sketches of Scarborough and the surrounding area is set to take centre stage in a very special calendar.
Using nothing more than a biro and pencil, Paul has created a fantastic collection of detailed drawings, capturing some of the familiar sights, landmarks and scenes that make the local area so special.
His attention to detail and obvious passion for drawing shine through in every picture, with each sketch demonstrating the incredible talent and creativity he possesses.
Recognising the quality and uniqueness of Paul's artwork, The Rainbow Centre has brought a selection of his drawings together to produce its very own commemorative calendar, marking an important milestone in the charity's history as it prepares to celebrate 30 years of supporting the local community in 2027.
The calendar will feature a selection of Paul's original artwork, giving people the opportunity to enjoy some familiar Scarborough scenes throughout the year while supporting a local charity.
The Calendars are individually priced at £10 with all proceeds going directly to The Rainbow Centre.
Fundraising Officer James Howard said “This is a fantastic gesture from Paul. When he first approached us about doing this, Paul put a lot of emphasis on how much he wants to give back to The Rainbow Centre after using our services for such a long time. We think the drawings are amazing and Paul is very talented. It was our pleasure to make this dream come true for him and allow him to get the recognition his work deserves in the shape of a calendar. We are sure that the local community will support this by buying Paul’s calendars and it is a great way for us at The Rainbow Centre to kick off our 30th anniversary celebrations. Thank you, Paul,”
