Cowork Whitby set to relocate after temporary summer closure

Cowork Whitby has announced that it will temporarily close this summer while preparing to relocate to a new, more central location in the heart of Whitby.

The flexible coworking space, which opened to provide a professional and welcoming environment for freelancers, remote workers, creatives and small businesses, will pause operations over the summer before reopening in September.

The move follows careful consideration of how Cowork Whitby can best serve its growing community, with the new premises offering a more accessible town centre location and supporting the next stage of the business's development.

Founder Jaclyn Goddard said: “We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Cowork Whitby since we opened.

"Every member, day pass user and visitor has helped shape what we're building.

"While it's never an easy decision to close a space, relocating gives us the opportunity to create an even better home for our community in a more central location.”

Since launching, Cowork Whitby has welcomed freelancers, entrepreneurs and remote workers looking for a productive alternative to working from home, alongside hosting community brunches, networking events and informal meet-ups.

Work is now under way behind the scenes to prepare the new premises, with further details, including the opening date and launch celebrations, to be announced over the coming weeks.

Cowork Whitby is expected to reopen in September, and existing users will be kept informed as plans progress.
