Gallagher and Hastie hit doubles as Seamer Sports snap up home success against Haltemprice
Jake Gallagher and Zac Hastie scored two goals apiece as Seamer Sports’ resurgence continued with a 4-1 home win against Haltemprice in the Right Car East Riding County League Premiership on Saturday.
Seamer ended the match with 10 men when sub Connor Myerscough was shown a second yellow card.
Filey Town won 2-0 at Beverley Town Development.
After a poor first-half display, goals from Kyle Melly and Max Gage secure three points for the visitors in a very good second-half performance.
Man of the Match for Town was Nathan Vernon. Town would like to thank Filey Autocare for sponsoring the game.
Scalby slumped to a 6-0 loss at Easington United Reserves in Division One.
A depleted Westover Wasps were defeated 4-0 at home by Humber Colts in Division Two.
Wasps had the better of possession in the first half but due to unfortunate errors, Colts took their chances to take a commanding 4-0 lead into the break.
Westover to their credit came out in the second half and worked hard to try reduce the score line but unfortunately were unable to take the few chances which were created.
Man of the match for the home side was James Day for another solid performance in the heart of the Westover defence.
