Whitby Town snap up midfielder Gashi after impressive trial period
Whitby Town have completed the signing of midfielder Muhamet "Mo" Gashi after an impressive trial period during pre-season.
The 25-year-old has earned a place in Lee Bullock’s squad following a series of strong displays throughout the summer, convincing the club’s coaching staff with his performances and attitude.

Born in Doncaster, Gashi arrives at the Towbar Express Stadium with experience from spells in both England and Gibraltar.
A central midfielder, he is known for his composure in possession, energy off the ball and ability to influence games from the middle of the park.

Having trained with the Seasiders throughout pre-season, Gashi quickly settled into the squad and impressed enough to secure a deal ahead of the new campaign.
Speaking after signing for the club, Gashi said he was pleased to return to English football.
"I'm back in England now and Whitby ticks a lot of boxes for what I want to do," he said.
"I was a bit younger when I last played at Step 3 but hopefully I'll have a big role to play for Whitby this season."
The signing adds further competition in midfield as Whitby continue preparations for the 2026/27 season, with Gashi becoming the latest addition to Bullock’s squad ahead of the Northern Premier League campaign.
