Scarborough Athletic Club’s Sue Haslam shines at Easter Marske race

The results for all runners over 40 years of age were calculated by age-graded results based on dates of birth instead of age-group categories.

Sue, who celebrated her 72nd birthday just a week earlier, finished 16th of 96 Females in 37.08 and achieved an amazing 98.46% age-graded and winning result.

Six club members competed in the Helmsley Multi-Terrain 10K Race.

The course encompassed hilly forest trails, footpaths and fields around the market town of Helmsley.

Chris Brown was first to finish for the club in 36th of 197 Males overall and third Over-50 in 43.09.

Julia Webb led the club’s females with 103rd Female overall of 167 and fourth Over-65.

Other Male results: Dave Lester 55.09, Martin Pepworth 57.04.

Other Female results: Lesley Lester 72.32, Mandy Pepworth 80.28.

Eighteen SAC members took part in the Woodlands Scarborough parkrun.

Callum Andrews was the club’s first to finish after heading an increased total of 239 in fourth overall.

Liv Bourne headed the club’s females with third Female overall of 102 with a Personal Best (PB) time.

Bridget Macedonski headed the club’s females with second Female overall of 92 and first Over 60.
