Scarborough RUFC announce signing of former Scotland U20 international player
Scarborough RUFC have announced the signing of former Scotland U20 international Eddie Erskine ahead of the 2026/27 season, adding an exciting young second-row to their squad.
Erskine arrives at the club with an impressive rugby background, having represented Scotland at U20 level in both the 2023 U20 Six Nations Championship and the U20 Rugby Trophy in Kenya.

He made his mark at the latter tournament by scoring twice in two games, crossing against both Uruguay and Zimbabwe.
The second row also came through the Bath Rugby Academy system before going on to represent Bath, continuing his development before joining Hartpury University.

During his time at Hartpury, Erskine helped the side claim a BUCS league title at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Now, the forward is looking forward to a new challenge as Scarborough prepare for their first season in Regional One North East.
Speaking after completing his move, Erskine said: “I’m very excited to be signing for the club.
“Over the last couple of days, I’ve had a tour around the club and as everyone says when they come here that they’re all shocked by the facilities, which I also have been.
“It’s a big year for the club too, with it being the centenary season, new league for the 1st XV and I’m very excited to get stuck into the season and into training.”
Scarborough’s season gets underway on Saturday September 26 when they welcome Ilkley to Silver Royd.
