The club announced the sad loss of their chairman Anderson via their club newsletter, which read: “It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart that we must inform you of the death of Club Chairman, Ken Anderson who died in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
“Ken played a very active part in the Club’s management right up to his death and as well as being the current Club Chairman and a Vice-President, Ken was a former Club President.
“Ken had served on the Club’s Board for more than 17 years and brought a wealth of knowledge and business experience which helped guide and shape the Rugby Club into what you see today.
“His passion for the sport of rugby union and for Scarborough Rugby Club will be sorely missed and his contributions to Club life will never be forgotten.
