Scarborough's Relish Coffee Shop crowned Yorkshire Winner at England Business Awards

Relish Coffee Shop is celebrating after being named a Yorkshire winner at the prestigious England Business Awards, just 15 months after new owners Caroline and Paul took over the business.

The recognition came as a complete surprise, with the team unaware they had even been nominated until they received a letter inviting them to take part in the awards process.

The England Business Awards assess businesses through a combination of mystery shopper visits, where they are judged against a range of service and quality criteria, alongside votes from customers. Following this assessment, Relish was announced as a finalist and invited to attend the official awards ceremony at The Queens Hotel in Leeds.

The team were delighted to be named Yorkshire winners for Best Cafe category, describing the achievement as an incredible honour so soon after taking ownership of the café.

Caroline and Paul said: “We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award. It’s a fantastic achievement for everyone involved and reflects the hard work and dedication of our amazing team - Georgia, Katie, Jess, Charli, Kiri and Harley."

The owners added that the award would not have been possible without the continued support of their kind and loyal customers.
