There’s a chance to see the type of souvenirs the Victorians took home with them to remind them of their holidays in Bridlington.

A spokesperson for the event said: “You can see archaeologists at work in a test pit in the Priory Church Rooms Garden and take your own finds for identification.

“There’s also the opportunity to watch the work of a modern day potter creating the artifacts of the future.

“People can also take a guided 10-minute walking tour of Church Green and discover what was there in days gone by.

“Ever wondered what the Normans did for us? Come along between 10.30am and 4pm and find out.”
