National Rail told the Scarborough News that the famous steam locomotive, which was built in Doncaster in 1923, will now be pulling into Scarborough train station at 2.55pm. It will be passing Seamer at 2.47pm.
The Flying Scotsman is due to depart from Scarborough just after 5pm.
However, after a broken spring forced the cancellation of yesterday's trip National Rail is warning that Scarborough run could still be called off today.
The historic engine was recently renovated and will be on show at the National Railway Museum in York.
