Bridlington Table Tennis League stars sparkle in annual tournaments
The Bridlington Table Tennis League annual tournaments are now in full swing.
The Ladies Division One Singles final was dominated by Caron Holdsworth's very effective short backspin serves which are extremely difficult to attack.

Caron's opponent, Amanda Coatsworth, plays with an attacking flamboyant style but Caron prevailed 11-3, 11-4, to win the title.
Amanda produced some brilliant shots in the semi-final of the Division One Singles event as she defeated Tony Miller 11-7.

Paul Wilkinson beat Ethan Marshall 11-6 in the second semi-final, and he was a firm favourite to clinch the title.
Paul is a formidable left-hander and he plays heavy topspin on both wings.
However, Amanda decided to attack every ball with venom, going for her shots with speed and spin, Amanda won the match and the title 11-7.
The Division Two Ladies Singles final was also a clash of styles, Vicky Barton plays an attacking game but her opponent, Tina Crockford, uses an evil pimpled table tennis bat.

Tina wreaks havoc every week in Division Two, she reduces grown men to tears, and sure enough she tasted victory in the final, 11-8, 11-8.
Jon Bell made a welcome return to the sport after a serious back injury, and he beat Mike Byass 11-4, 11-3 in the Division Two Singles final.
Caron Holdsworth and Jurek Truchlinski won the Wednesday night round/robin event.
