Scarborough Athletic Club’s James Ledner earns PB at Jarrow 10K
Scarborough Athletic Club’s James Ledner hit top form at the Jarrow 10 Kilometre Road Race.
He finished his fourth 10-kilometre race this year in a PB 37.18.
Nine club members competed in the York Run for All Road Races.
In the Marathon, Tracey Brenton finished in a PB 3.22.23 and third Over-50.
Josie Colpitts completed her first marathon in 4.16.02.
Anthony Gough helped a friend achieve a PB after finishing with his notable 3.43.47.
Peter Smith finished in a very good Over-60 marathon time of 3.46.12, five minutes up on his 2025 Marathon at Abingdon.
Five club members competed in the 10-mile race.
Martin Aston finished first for the club in 1.12.16 and was 8th Over-60.
Lottie McFarlane made a club event and distance debut in 1.35.10.

Eleven club members competed in second race of the Esk Valley Fell Club’s Winter Series of Fell Race, known as the Gomire Gamble.
SAC achieved a notable 1-2 overall result, Daniel Bateson finishing first overall of 189 and first Over-45 and Paul Lawton second overall and first over-40.
The club’s females also sparkled, with Rhona Marshall first overall of 67 and first Over-45, and Anna Giddings fourth overall.
All other male and team result; Ian Beaver, 31st and third Over-60, Robert Bailey, 58th, completed the fourth team. The backup consisted of three O75s - Neil Scruton, Robert Lillie and David Parke.
All other female and team result; Marianne Borsheim, 11th and first Over-55, completed the second team. The backup was Emma Wolstencroft, 51st, and Sally Kingscroft, 58th.
Twenty-seven SAC members took part in the Woodlands Scarborough parkrun.
First finisher for the club Darryl Koekemoer, who was also first overall of 140 and first Over-40.
The club’s females were led by Fay Hethershaw, who was third female overall of 53 and first Over-55.

The first finisher for the club was Nikola Carr Walls who was second female overall of 63.
The club’s male runners were led by Chris Clayton who was first Over-60.
