'A magic moment in time for music' - This Feeling by the Sea comes to Bridlington
A rising tide lifts all boats, and that’s a phrase that sums up the This Feeling family as this year’s By The Sea festival on April 17-18 approaches.
This Feeling has helped guide every band on the bill from modest early gigs to now achieving much bigger things.

That’s particularly true of headliners The Lilacs, who sold-out their recent 2600-capacity headline show at Manchester Academy, and The Clause, who powered in the Top 20 of the UK Official Album charts last year - and who are both still going from strength-to-strength.
The Lilacs’ vocalist/guitarist Ollie Anglesea said: “We first played This Feeling By The Sea back in 2023 when we were younger and a lot more naive.

“It has definitely played a huge part in us being the band we are today.
“So many people still say ‘We first saw you at This Feeling By The Sea’, so it’s clear to see the power of the festival.
“Headlining it really feels like a full circle moment and is a really proud moment for us.
“I think it goes without saying how crucial This Feeling have been in our careers and no doubt hundreds of other bands out there.

“We genuinely owe them the world.”
The Clause frontman Pearce Macca said: “We’ve been working with Mikey and the crew at This Feeling since we were kids and they’ve followed us every step of the way, we love them.
“We feel blessed to be headlining this festival alongside some of our favourite people, can’t wait to get up on that stage.”
This Feeling founder Mikey Jonns said: “My favourite thing about this event is the community aspect. Everyone on the bill has been on a journey.
“All of the acts have come through from the grass roots, playing on our stage at festivals such as The Isle of Wight, Truck and Why Not?
“We’re most proud of how it brings everyone together – the atmosphere feels really special.
"This Feeling is now picking up steam, it’s something to put Bridlington on the map, people come who have never been to the town before.”
Mr Jonns said that one of the thing which makes the festival so distinctive is a shared passion for music between himself and his co-founder George Holmes. He said: “ We actually listen to music. We love it.
"I think now is a magic moment in time for music – when I was younger I would listen to my dad’s music, The Who and the Beatles, and I was listening to Oasis, so he was listening to mine.
"I truly believe we’re about to have another golden era of music.”
With an array of other must-see bands including The Rosadocs, Girlband!, The Bracknall, Crystal Tides and many more it’s clear that This Feeling By The Sea is the perfect way to kick-off the 2026 festival season.
Lifejacket podcast host and Soccer AM legend Fenners said in conversation with the BBC: “We need to keep spreading the word that this talent is out there.
“It’s a remarkable thing that the guys at This Feeling have been doing over the years, Mikey and George have created a movement, what they’ve done for new music and for live music is absolutely phenomenal.”
