The Scarborough date is one of just two northern UK shows for the band next summer, along with two sold out nights at London’s The O2 and a headline appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival.

Kings of Leon’s rich tour history includes headlining the world’s biggest and most prestigious festivals, such as Glastonbury, Coachella, numerous Lollapalooza’s, and the UK's Reading and Leeds on three occasions, as well as a record equalling five nights at London’s massive Hyde Park.

Julian Murray of promoters Cuffe and Taylor, venue programmers at Scarborough OAT, said: “Kings of Leon are one of the world’s biggest rock bands, with an incredible catalogue of hits and a live reputation built over more than two decades.

“We're absolutely delighted to welcome them to the Open Air Theatre next summer.

"This is a huge addition to our 2027 programme and promises to be a really special night on the Yorkshire coast."

Kings of Leon are the latest artist announced for 2027 at Scarborough OAT which will also see headline shows from Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Bananarama, Alex Warren, Kaiser Chiefs, Alfie Boe, Ronan Keating, Jack Savoretti and James Morrison and Simply Red.
